“ You can't go wrong with ordering from Ernie's! I discovered this place a couple of years ago while I was working in Greenville. At first glance you wouldn't realize what a gem it is, but the food is incredible! I'm a fan of their Pepper Steak AND the Cheese Steak sandwiches, ordered "all the way." They are absolutely wonderful and you won't find a sub this good anywhere else in Eastern North Carolina! Make sure to call and order ahead since they're made fresh and there's usually a line. It's first come, first served, like any restaurant, so plan ahead if your lunch break is short. It's an original walk-up grill, so seating isn't available inside. However it's covered to keep customers comfortable and out of the weather. ”
